Training plan continued

Students,
Many of you saw me completing my run on Wednesday afternoon during lunch. I ran for 30 minutes and I will be increasing the distance each week until I feel ready for the next training step. This is important for both running and cycling.

Special Education Health Review (Trexler/Woods)

Dear Ms. Trexler and Ms. Woods' students,
Here are some things to remember for our test coming up (the date is to be announced in class this coming week).

The muscular system- This system is made up of the muscles and it helps us to move.
The skeletal system- This system is made up of the bones and it helps the body to keep its structure.
Breathing- we breathe in oxygen from the air which then goes to our lungs.
That oxygen is then picked up by the blood that runs through our body.
The blood then brings oxygen to our muscles which use oxygen to make energy.
Without oxygen, the muscle and heart tissue in our body would die.
Digestion- The food that we eat is made up of calories.
Calories are energy.
Our stomach digests the food and the energy is either used by us, stored or wasted by our body.

Hope this helps,
Mr. Goldstein

Games to Watch!!!!

Homework 3

Students,
Homework #3 is due on Friday and I have only received it from a couple of people. For directions, please look further down the blog for directions to complete the assignment.

You need to watch a sports game and write a summary about it. In order to complete it by Friday it will either have to be a hockey, soccer or football game. Please ask me about when these games might be on and which channels they will appear on.
